Gerrald (Jerry) Silverman, Advisory Board Member

Jerry has extensive executive level management background in brand building and organizational development, including strategic understanding of the consumer experience within retail industries. Jerry founded Jammen82 LLC (a management consulting firm) in 2019 and serves as the principal of the firm.

Prior to that Jerry spent the previous 10 years (September 2009 until September 2019) serving as the Chief Executive Officer/President of the Jewish Federations of North America (the national organization for 147 Jewish Federations). Between 2004 to 2009 Jerry served as President/CEO of th the Foundation for Jewish Camp. The organization was focused on bringing the Jewish Camp Movement together to increase the numbers of children experiencing a Jewish Camp. Between 1994 and 2004, Jerry held a range of executive positions at the Stride Rite Corp. of Boston, including President of its International Division, President of Stride Rite Children’s Groups wholesale and retail operations, and President of its largest division the Keds Corporation. Between 1979 and 1994 Jerry held several senior executive positions at Levi Strauss & Co. in San Francisco, CA.

Jerry has served on the Board of Directors of Weis Markets (NYSE: WMK) since 2010. He currently is Chairman of the Compensation Committee and has served as Chairman of the Audit Committee. He also served for six years as a director on the board of the Harold Grinspoon Foundation. Jerry currently sits on the boards of the National Ramah Commission and the Secure Community Network. Jerry and Erica are the proud parents of 5 children and Grandparents to 8 grandchildren.
